Fourth Annual Summit on Global Food Security and Health


Call For Papers


The intersection of Global Food Security and National Security will be the focus of this year's workshop and special issue on food security and health.
Related topics of interest include, but are not limited to: access to water; climate change; land rights; infrastructure; rural development capacity; extension services; governance; corruption; terrorism and conflict; and health and nutrition. 
Proposals considering new multilateral initiatives, such as the 2015 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and the U.S. 2016 Global Food Security Act and Strategy, particularly its whole of government and country-led approaches, will be welcome, as will analyses of collaboration and integration with U.S. national security programs and initiatives, and other cross-cutting development initiatives such as private-public partnerships. 
Abstracts (250 words) of proposed papers/presentations, including potential health, security and policy implications, should be submitted to Bonnie Stabile, Co-Editor at  This email address is being protected from spambots. The 4th Annual Summit on Global Food Security and Health will take place November 15, 2017 for presentation and discussion of relevant research.  The workshop will be held at George Mason University's Schar School of Policy and Government in Arlington, Virginia. 
Completed manuscripts should be submitted to World Medical & Health Policy via by December 15, 2017 for peer review.
