The Asian Politics & Policy (APP) journal has editing offices at the Asian Center, University of the Philippines. The journal has articles of major importance to everyone who wants in depth coverage of the important policy issues arising from the rapid growth of the region.

In addition to research articles, Asian Politics & Policy provides book, website and blog reviews. Asian Politics & Policy is internationally oriented, with its editorial board members from prestigious universities and research institutions in China, Japan, South Korea, ASEAN nations, India, Australia, Russia, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The journal has its editorial offices located in China and the United States. By so doing, it hopes to better stimulate academic dialogue between scholars in Asia and the rest of the world.

Aims and Scope

Asian Politics & Policy is a peer-reviewed English journal devoted to the study of contemporary Asia . Sponsored by the Policy Studies Organization, a related organization of the American Political Science Association (APSA) and the International Studies Association (ISA), the journal is published quarterly by Wiley-Blackwell Publishing. Asian Politics & Policy is dedicated to publishing quality articles on issues related to the domestic and international affairs of Asia, with a particular interest in its northeast and southeast regions. The objective of the journal is to inform readers of political dynamics and policy innovations in Asia, the growing trend of economic and political integration in East Asia, and the changing relations among Asian countries and between Asia and the West.

Call for Papers

The journal seeks original papers, survey articles, and book reviews that fall within its scope. Articles submitted to Asian Politics & Policy should be original contributions and should not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time. If another version of the article is under consideration by another publication, or has been, or will be published elsewhere, authors should clearly indicate this at the time of submission. Papers must be in English and in principle no more than 13,000 words in length, including footnotes.
