Announcement:
Those who wish to dine in the interval between the end of the afternoon sessions and the final plenary at the Cosmos Club at 8:15 pm have some choices. There is an excellent Lebanese restaurant where it is possible to have dinner at a reasonable price, and the assistant of Dr. Aman, Brittany Khatib has full information and can provide details. Her e-mail is bbestol@uwm.edu. This would be a chance to relax with some of the visitors. Cost is $45/person; dress is casual or business attire.

Alternatively, the Philosophical Society of Washington, which is hosting the evening lecture at the Cosmos Club about two blocks from the Whittemore House, will host a dinner with the speaker. Jacket and tie are required as the setting is somewhat formal, and information about the dinner and tickets are available from Daniel Gutierrez at dgutierrezs@ipsonet.org

The Policy Studies Organization (PSO) announces a call for participation for the The Middle East Dialogue 2012.  This forum is for policy makers, scholars, business leaders, and other experts to discuss important policy issues. It focuses on education initiatives, social, economic and political reforms, nuclear proliferation, interfaith dialogue, women's gains and challenges, peace initiatives, and potential areas of conflict. We welcome a spectrum of political and religious persuasions to discuss issues in a spirit of tolerance and free discourse.

The Forum is co-chaired by Prof. Mohammed M. Aman of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Editor-in-Chief of Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES), and Prof. Paul Rich, President of the Policy Studies Organization. It is sponsored by the Policy Studies Organization, American Public University System, the Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES), the Philosophical Society of Washington, the Next Century Foundation, and the American-Libyan Council. Other sponsors are invited and will be added.

The deadline for submissions closed on January 26th.
