The purpose of The Dupont Summit is to promote dialogue about the pressing policy issues related to science, technology and the environment. The conference mirrors the interest of the PSO (see past conference programs above and PSO journals below) and its partners in promoting discussion of current policy concerns.
Presented every year on the first Friday of December, the conference brings together academics, government, business and leaders from a variety of backgrounds, for conversation about issues that include but are not limited to health, energy, national security, information and telecommunications, environment and climate change, biotechnology, genetics and stem cells, water and natural resources, science research and education, technology and innovation, space, and ethical, legal and social implications of science and technology.
The Policy Studies Organization is looking for proposals from all views and persuasions from across the social and political spectrum that prompt discussion on these issues, and in the form of panels, individual presentations or talks, workshops, and round tables. All suggestions will be welcome. Full papers will be published in the conference proceedings, but are not a requirement for participation. For more information, please take a look at the final programs of past conferences in the links provided above. We want vigorous opinions - left, right and center!
The deadline for submitting proposals is November 19th, 2011. To submit a proposal or for questions, please contact Daniel Gutierrez-Sandoval, PSO Conference Manager at dgutierrezs@ipsonet.org or 202-483-2512 ext. 116
